Mini Me

Yesterday I met a Cody who looked like me!  He was a year younger than me and a bit smaller than me.  We had fun swimming and chasing sticks together!

I also showed him all my favorite spots in the pond.

Sandicast

Today I hung out around the house while mom and dad went to Boston with my favorite pals Kim and Pete.  Dad got me two baseball rawhides at Fish and Bone on Newbury Street.  Yum!

While walking on Charles Street they found a companion for me...

Paranoid

Call me crazy... but I think my toys plot against me when I'm not around.

Heat Wave

Yesterday and today were SO hot!  My mom and I were cooped up in the living room with the AC cranked up.  Talk about boring.

We went outside and I went in my pool - but the water was very warm.  Gross.  Luckily, my dad has been taking me to the park to swim just before dark, when it's a bit cooler.

Today, while I was at the park with my dad, my mom went to Crate & Barrel and got me a new toy.  It was mildly exciting...

...for about a second.

I'm really waiting for my buddies Kimmy and Pete to come visit.  But their train is delayed.  So, me, mom, and dad are lounging and waiting...

Swim and Ice Cream

It's been a few weeks since I've gone for a swim at my favorite place, so today mom and dad took me there...

Since I was such a good boy I also got doggie ice cream - my favorite!

Beer'n'Gear

Today my mom picked up a copy of Tails - a complimentary magazine for dog owners.  They had a section called Perfect Parties for You and Your Pet which included the following suggestions:
  • Chuckit! duck butts - love those things; Every dog should have one!  They suggest bobbing for them in plastic pools - been there, done that!
  • PoshPuppyBoutique.com for official MLB bandanas, collars, etc.  Mom should get me some Yankees gear!
  • Bowser Beer - probably the greatest discovery ever!  It's beer made especially for dogs! The "Products" page on their website is pretty informative - the beer contains USDA beef or chicken, malt barley, and glucosamine.  They don't contain alcohol, carbonation, hops ("can be toxic to dogs"), or commercial broth.  Good to know, since dogs like me love the smell of beer and always want a taste!  Their locations list says mom and dad can buy this at Fish and Bone in Boston (where they bought me the baseball rawhide yesterday)!

Way to go, Jeter!

Today my mom and dad got me something on Newbury Street - a baseball rawhide!  Very fitting since Derek Jeter got his 3,000th hit today!

Mud Bath

This afternoon my mom and dad took Cody and I to run around the woods.  They purposely took me to a park that didn't have a body of water, so I spent most of the time just running around...

Then I found a mud pit...

Needless to say, I got a bath when I got home!

I guess they'll have to redo my Frontline...  Hope they don't try to pull this no swimming nonsense again!

Mon Oeil!

This weekend I went crazy at the dog park and tried to swim in the mud...

A few hours after being hosed off, my mom and dad noticed that one of my eyes had started to swell.

Luckily they had some leftover conjunctivitis medicine.  They also got a sterile saline solution to rinse my eye out, just in case something was stuck in it.

I was SUCH a good boy as they rinsed out my eye.  And today, it's looking much better!

Last Sunday

Last Sunday was a very fun day!  I spent the entire day swimming for duck butts (thank you Mom and Kimmy!)...

Then I was tired...

Pippa even tried to swim, but she hated it!

My dad bought a new pool for us thinking Pippa would enjoy it... but she didn't.

All she wanted to do was hide in the bushes...

Maybe someday when she's bigger she'll enjoy the wonders of swimming!

Last Saturday

Last Saturday my dad drove me to NY where I finally met my new aunt, Pippa!  She was a fun little pup, she definitely wanted to play with me, but I just acted like a big boy.
